Notepad++ is a text editor, that is always on the top on web developer’s list, when it comes on free tool, or code editor with highlighting feature. Notepad++ themes however are not that better compared to themes offered by other text editors like Coda and Textmate, anyway these are not free unlike notepad++, so it’s just normal if the coda themes and textmate themes are more eye-friendly and elegant.

The goodnews is notepad++ themes are editable, you can have it modified, until it suits your taste, the steps on how to edit notepad++ themes are easy as 1 2 3, I will not even put it in bullets or number, just click on Settings button at menu bar then Style Configurator, from there you can now select themes, the programming language and the styles, when you’re done edition don’t forget to save it. That’s it, easy as abc.

My only tip is, if you’re still not satisfied on the color combination that you did, and still dreaming to have that one from Coda or Textmate, why not? check out the template that you want, you don’t have to buy it,  the trick is you’ll be copying the color combination by using a color picker then implement it to your notepad++ themes.
